What is Dry-Needling (Falknor’s Technique)?
At our clinic, we offer a specialised technique—dry-needling of warts, also called Falknor’s Needling—that stimulates your body’s own immune response to clear the virus. Here’s how it works:
We numb the area with local anaesthetic to ensure your comfort.
A sterile fine needle is used to puncture the wart repeatedly, reaching into the deeper dermal tissue.
This creates a controlled, mild inflammatory response, “implanting” viral particles deeper so that immune cells can recognise and clear them.
While only one wart may be treated, the immune activation can help clear other warts at distant sites.
Advantages of this method
- Often one session is sufficient (though occasionally a second may be recommended) rather than dozens of treatments.
- Minimal downtime — you can return to regular activities quickly.
- Fewer dressings, less disruption to daily life compared to repeated freezing or topical regimes.
